Instructions to make Shakshuka:
  1. In a sauce pan, add olive oil and saute onion and red bell pepper for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly until the onion have softened.
  2. Add the garlic and spices. Saute for about 1 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the canned tomatoes and stir. Bring to a gentle simmer until the sauce have reduced. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Once the sauce have reduced, make a well on the sauce and cracked the egg on each well. Cover the pan for 6-8 minutes or until the egg is done to your liking.
  5. Garnish with feta cheese crumbs and a generous amount of chopped cilantro. Serve immediate with bread.
